More swimming! :)

We love going to the pool and swimming with the kids, but some days it's just nice to stay home and sit under the sun shade and watch the kids while we relax and talk.
Thanks to the g-parents that picked up this plastic pool for the grand kids.
And we don't have to worry about them going in the "deep end" lol
&
they can climb in and out as many times as they please!

I remember my sister & I had a plastic pool when we were little (yeah I know we lived a block from the beach and we went all the time) but some days we just stayed home and swam in our little pool, I remember we even would take it in the house and put all our pillows and blankets in it and watch tv and fall asleep in it. makes me laugh to think about it. good times.

Orem's *Summer Fest*

We had a really good time at the carnival.
Dev was so excited to ride all the little rides.
She said "Momma, I want to ride on that pony!" (the carousel)

*& thanks to the lovely stranger that gave us $20 dollars worth of tickets, because her grandson didn't want to ride any of the rides, so we didn't have to buy anymore tickets.*

We got pretty lucky, while we were trying to find the rest of the family, there was one street that connects to center street, almost across from the baseball fields where the fire works were going off. So instead of walking over to the field and trying to find everyone, we just parked at the top of the street where it was closed off. And still had a great view. Rob & Dev sat on the roof of the Jeep, and Khlo & I sat infront of the Jeep in our camping chair to to watch the fireworks, than when it was time to leave we just got in and drove off and avoided all the traffic.
After we got home, and we all got showered and ready for bed.

I asked Devie what her most favvvvorite part of the day was, and the most funnnnest thing she did today.
And she said "the rides" "candy" & "the pretty flowers!"
Than literally..we all passed out.
So tired, from a long, hot day of fun.

After they went swimming, they all went up to Aislyn's room and she dressed them up.
She has a trunk full of dress up's and Dev was in Heaven!
Dev had so much fun she didn't want to leave
She was crying and said "I don't want to leave my friends!!!"

Thanks Ry & Amanda for havin us over, we always have a good time!

I'm so glad summer is finally HERE!

I asked Dev "Is it hot or cold outside?"
She replied "It's warm!"

Oh no she didn't!?!

Devski (you already know where this is going...) just kidding.
Devlyn loves to get her nails painted.
She asked me if I could do them after she took a bath & I agreed.
I laid out 5 different colors for her to choose from:

• Hot pink
• Electric Orange
• Neon yellow
• Bright blue
• Silver

I've been employed as her manicurist long enough to know, that after I paint two of her nails one color she asks for a different color (sometimes..black,dark green, and bright red together) and I find it as her manicurist and in her best interest to suggest other colors from my plethora stock of nail polish that is more 2 year old friendly. (like the colors I mentioned above)
So to dodge this dilemma.
I painted each nail a different color.
(so far so good..happy client)
I even went over and did a second of each color.
And even applied top coat to each finger.
So now we've painted each tiny finger 3 times each!
(if anyone is counting..no big deal)
she expresses to me how much she loves to play outside and takes it very seriously and that could damage her manicure, so the top coat should help her manicure last longer.
Well my little client was so pleased and went to bed sweet dreams!

And what does she do?!!

Not even 24 hours later..she goes with her grandma to get her nails done by her lady that does them..she lives an hour away (that's besides the point)
Devie comes home with a big smile on her face and shows me her MANICURE she got while she was with her grandma. So not only did they take off the polish I did..but replaced it with a thin layer of c-thru silver glitter nail polish!!! I was pissed! But kept it inside, because of how happy she was. And instead I vented to her father! lol! He said "babe, you did a great job on her nails, but you know devie, she loves getting her nails done."

He is right.

OOOOOO CHILD! GRR!! BABY GRRR!!

*2011 Teraflex All Jeep Show*

Our lil fam bam!

Daddy kissing his baby bye, she started to cry because she wanted to go with us. So her daddy had a little talk with her and said if you want to come with mom & dad you can, but you'll probably have more fun at the rodeo with grandpa & grandma than at the jeep show, and there excited to take you, but it's up to you pumpkin. And so she chose to go to the Rodeo. And than I was in the car crying (poor husband..has to deal with all these hormonal girls) but I was sad because I didn't want Dev to think we didn't want to take her and she couldn't come with us & than Rob had to reassure me that he talked with her and she said she wanted to go to the Rodeo and she'd be fine and have more fun there and her dad was right, she would have been so bored at the jeep show cause there wasn't much for kids and especially not for 3 hours. And when she came home she told me that she had fun and got to see animals and rode on a wagon pulled by a horse, which made me so happy that my baby had a fun day. Than later tonight we had some friends over & roasted some hot dogs & marsh mellows and had s'mores!

And you can tell by the smile on her face she got a kick out of dad kissing her barbie..silly girl!
