31 weeks: Baby now weighs as much as four navel oranges. (Length: over 16 inches, head to heel.)
7 1/2 Months Pregnant.
So I'm getting closer to having this baby. I'm Due in April 25th! The day after Easter Sunday. I know Easter skips around a lot but I didn't think I'd be due right around Easter! (When we planned this baby, we knew we wanted a spring/summer baby) And that's what we got! So no complaints here! ;) April is a special month for both sides of our families. Both Rob & I have been very close to our grandparents. My grandparents raised me and were my parents. And Rob's were his 2nd pair of parents, he always told me stories about how he loved spending every weekend at their house and playing with his cousins or how his grandpa or grandma would take him on trips, just like mine would. He was such a "Grandma's Boy!" :) We are so grateful to have had a special bond with them, they have done so many things for us and made such an impact on our lives. Like I said, April is special month because: My grandma's birthday is April 9. My grandpa passed away in on April 9. Rob's grandma passed away on April 7th. Rob's parents wedding anniversary is April 8th, Rob's 3 Uncles passed away on April 18th. There has been so many things that have happened just in APRIL and having this baby then, will be so special for us. Welcoming such a little blessing around such a difficult time for our families will be so great. I don't know if it's the hormones or just how I feel or both..But the closer I get to my due date..the more I'm reminded of "APRIL" and of all that has happened and especially since my grandma recently passed..that I'm finding it hard to grasp that she won't be here for the birth of my baby. And it makes me really sad, and I don't know how to cope with it really. She's always been there. And this is something big, and I don't wanna do it without her. She knew I was pregnant with Dev before I even knew, she just had a hunch..and she was right! She was there to hold Dev when she was born and she won't be there this time. And I know I have a huge support team, my dear husband, my sister, our family & friends. But I wish I could just have her here. I miss my grandpa & grandma everyday. You can't anticipate what it's like living with out your parents..especially only being 25. I always thought I'd have them around forever.. But I quickly learned that wasn't true when my grandpa passed away. (I was so angry as a kid, when he passed) and had a hard time dealing with it. But now that I'm older, It's gotten easier. But I know there looking down on us.. But it's still hard. I just needed to vent and cry and let it out. Like I said maybe it's just my hormones getting the best of me. Well everything seems to be moving along well still. Khlo'e is such an active baby still, I can feel her flip around and stick out her bum and kick and turn you forget how weird/cool it feels 2nd time around! There's always someone's hand on my belly feeling her move and I don't mind :) I found out today that I passed my glucose test for the 2nd time (yay!). I was so nervous I'd have gestational diabetes..because I love sugar! ha ha no, but really (I didn't want the health risks!) And apparently..I just have big babies (no gestational diabetes required) Lol! I've definitely hit the uncomfortable stage head on. I sleep with 4 pillows and it's somewhat OK. I've had some crazy dreams that I wish would just go away! My iron levels have improved a little which is good. Cause I don't feel so weak or tired as much. I haven't gained a lot weight either..with Dev I gained 40lbs! and I think it's because more active this time and esp w/ my job, I'm up alot running around from room to room assisting my doctor. And I was smaller when I got pregnant with Dev. Rob & I went to Motherhood to get some nursing bra's for me and they are definitely not my Victoria Secret bra's but I don't care there sooo comfy and I love them! I'm happy things are going as well as can be expected with this pregnancy. Anyways, this was longer than I anticipated.
Only 8 1/2 weeks to go!
♥
